Central Tablelands Counselling Services

About Me – Peter Avey Dip. Couns
I offer person-centred counselling, with specialities in grief and loss, anxiety, relationship counselling and trauma. Additional modalities are used depending on your needs and referrals to other professionals are provided when required.
As a male counsellor, I recognize and understand male issues. However, my life experiences provide a balanced view when counselling anyone.
I empower clients based on their individuality and personal circumstances. I aim to improve their ability to withstand the struggles everyone encounters throughout a lifetime. My counselling experience is diverse including clients with; disability, LGBTIQA+, trauma, couples, children, adolescents, and group work.
I volunteer with NALAG (National Association for Loss and Grief). On a personal side, I am a volunteer with the RFS (Rural Fire Service) and a celebrant.
Therapeutic Focus
My counselling focus is to help individuals heal, energize, and become aware of their inner strengths. This is achieved this by providing a neutral safe space, listening to your concerns, and helping you accept who you are.
Patient Promise
My promise is to be there for you every step of your journey. My goal is to help you grow from your struggles, heal from your pain, and move forward to where you want to be in your life.
